In this painting colours are entwined through the gestural energy of a stroke. There is a dance of colour, line and form and the physicality of the material is highlighted through the use of heavily textured handmade paper which seems to float within a box frame. The lines can be quite evocative of natural elements or the language of nature and there is a striking quality in the stillness and simplicity.
